Perennial: Evergreen. Brazil native. Olive green leaves w/ silvery spots & red undersides. Upright stems have segments which resemble bamboo. Blooms: spring-fall with open white flowers (sometimes red) with bright yellow centers. Ht: 3 ft or more. As a houseplant needs bright, indirect light. Fertilize every 2-4 weeks. Water when top 1/2 inch of soil is dry. Enjoys a warm spot w/ humidity (kitchen/bathroom). USDA Z10. Toxic to people & pets if ingested.
