Vine: Deciduous, Deer resistant. A beautiful Japanese variety with pure white 5-7 inch flowers with yellow stamens that is one of the earliest of the large-flowered clematis to bloom. Attracts hummingbirds. Free flowering. Bloom time: late spring and again in late summer. Height: 4-9 feet. Plant so roots are in shade, tops in the sun. Water: moist. USDA Z4. Flowers on previous year’s growth, do not prince until after flowering. Prune group: B (2).
