Annual Herb: Tolerates drought. Native to eastern and central US. Has pretty narrow, 1.5 inch tubular flowers. The stems, leaves and flowers are covered with sticky hairs. Good for containers, beds, borders, and edging paths and walkways. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators. Bloom time: summer-fall. Bloom color: purple to purplish red. Height: 1-3 feet. Exposure: sun. Water: moderate. USDA Z6-9.
