ROSA 'Tess of the Durbervilles' (own root)

This lovely rose was named after the heroince of Thomas Hardy's novel. It is an excellent choice where space is limited! A short & compact climber that produces large, bright crimson, deeply cupped blooms. Strong old rose fragrance. Excellent repeat bloomer that flowers freely from early in the season. Grows as a 4' x 4' bushy arching shrub or 6-8' as a trained climber. Great for beds, borders, hedges, screens/walls & fences. Good disease resistance. Petal count: 110. USDA Z5.
