This nearly spineless variety produces heads that are 3-5” in diameter & have wonderfully thick, flavorful hearts. With thick, fleshy scales & solid center, the flower heads should be harvested when they are young. It needs a fairly long, mild growing season, or you may grow it as an annual. Heirloom - This is an edible leaf vegetable that can be enjoyed raw or cooked. It is a standard Arugula variety with long, green leaves that has that characteristic spicy flavor. Deeply incised and ruffled, rounded oak-leaf shape are upright and a very deep green. Excellent, mild flavor that is more nutty than spicy and sets itself apart from others. The blooms are edible; use both in things like salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, sushi and in stir-fries. Good for bunching and bagging. Quick growing and very cold tolerant. This is a one-of-a-kind blond to lime green "green" that has ruffled edges and white mid-rib that adds loft and a pop of color to salad mixes. A non-heading Chinese cabbage that has buttery leaves with a crunchy rib and tender, mild flavor. Thin to 4-8" for full-sized heads for bunching, if desired.
